Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the ScripturAI mobile application operated by ScripturAI LLC ("ScripturAI," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using ScripturAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ScripturAI, unless you are using the app under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By allowing a minor to use ScripturAI, the parent or legal guardian agrees to be responsible for the minor's use of the app.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the ScripturAI application on iOS devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

This license does not allow you to use ScripturAI on any device that you do not own or control, and you may not distribute or make ScripturAI available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.

You must comply with the Apple App Store Terms of Service when using ScripturAI.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

ScripturAI offers auto-renewable subscription plans with weekly and monthly billing options. Subscription prices are displayed in the app and may vary by region.

Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Free Trial

If offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing and Canceling Subscriptions

You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until that date.

Refunds

Subscription purchases are handled through Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. We do not process refunds directly.

5. Use of the Service

You may use ScripturAI for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app
  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app or its content
  • Use the app in any way that could damage or overburden our systems

6. User Accounts

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and complete information

7. Third-Party Services

ScripturAI integrates with third-party services to provide its functionality:

  • OpenAI: Powers our AI chat features. Your conversations may be processed by OpenAI's systems. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details.
  • Supabase: Provides authentication and database services. Your account data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure.
  • Apple: Handles in-app purchases, subscriptions, and Sign in with Apple authentication.

Your use of ScripturAI constitutes acceptance of the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of ScripturAI, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

AI-Generated Content

ScripturAI uses artificial intelligence to generate responses and content. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for certain uses. You should not rely on AI-generated content as professional, medical, legal, or spiritual advice. You are solely responsible for how you use or interpret AI-generated content.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ScripturAI is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the app.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to ScripturAI immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason. Upon termination, your license to use the app will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. By continuing to use ScripturAI after such changes, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

14. Apple-Specific Terms

The following terms apply to your use of ScripturAI downloaded from the Apple App Store:

Acknowledgement: These Terms are between you and ScripturAI LLC only, not with Apple. ScripturAI LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for ScripturAI and its content.

Scope of License: The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use ScripturAI on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Maintenance and Support: ScripturAI LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for ScripturAI. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services.

Warranty: ScripturAI LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to ScripturAI.

Product Claims: ScripturAI LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to ScripturAI or your possession and/or use of ScripturAI.

Intellectual Property Claims: ScripturAI LLC, not Apple, shall be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim.

Third-Party Beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
